Faraway Together was born from a feeling we know all too well: connection. Jena and Jocelyn are longtime friends, creative collaborators, and passionate about connection. With backgrounds in storytelling, design, and community-building, they founded Faraway Together to celebrate the ties that bind us across distance, time, and generations. Jena brings heart and imagination to every idea, while Jocelyn, an accredited literary editor, grounds their vision with precision, strategy and clarity. Together, they create meaningful products and spaces that remind us connection isn’t just important, it’s everything

Missing a parent or a child. A best friend across the country. A grandparent who lives in another time zone or another season of life. Sometimes, it’s even missing a part of ourselves, the version we were before the world sped up.

In the quiet ache of that distance, we asked ourselves:
How do we stay close when life pulls us apart?

The answer wasn’t big or loud. It was a letter slipped into a lunchbox. A bedtime story read over FaceTime. A gift that said “I see you,” even without the need for words.

And so, Faraway Together began.

Founded by longtime friends Jena Rhydderch and Jocelyn Tochor, Faraway Together is more than a shop or a publishing imprint, it’s a space for connection. What began as a single illustrated children’s book grew into a multi-faceted brand rooted in helping people feel remembered and loved, wherever they are in the world.

This is the heart space of our brand: a growing collection of blog stories, connection challenges, creative campaigns, and giving initiatives that invite our community to share, reflect, and inspire one another. Here, we explore how to show up for each other in a world that often makes it easy to drift apart.

We built this platform to feel like a care package, something personal, thoughtful, and unexpected. Something that arrives at just the right time.
